The emergency unit has the latest high tech facilities which operate 24 by 7. The emergency unit has designated ares of yellow and red for serious and very serious patients. Teams of doctors work round the clock to provide relief to ailing patients. A fleet of Ambulances equipped with life support systems for very serious patients are always ready for any eventuality. The hospital buzzes with activity from dawn to dusk and when its dark a different set of staff takes charge. There are some touts who offer to supply medicines that are not available in hospital pharmacy. The canteen shops outside the emergency unit are a bit slow in responding to customers at night.
